Dr. S from New York wrote: "While on vacation in Paris last year I found myself in need of emergency care. It was this event that brought me to the American Hospital of Paris. I have been involved in the delivery of heathcare for almost 30 years and have spent many hours in the hospital setting. I have never seen the level of quality care delivered, that I experienced first hand at the American Hospital of Paris. From the admissions department, CCU nurses, houskeeping staff, food service and last but not least my doctor Dr. Tarragano. As my friends would tell you, I am always eager to tell my American Hospital of Paris story. This is the way healthcare should be delivered. I only wish that I lived closer so that all of my medical needs could be provided there. Keep up the good work!."
Warren from California wrote, "While on vacation in Paris this past October I had emergency surgery by Professeur Jean-Louis Pailler assisted by his team, at the American Hospital of Paris for bowel blockage, which saved my life. The care of the nurses in the emergency room and ICU unit was extraordinary in terms of their genuine care and professional attention. I owe my life to Professeur Jean-Louis and his team of Doctors and I will be forever grateful."

Jacqueline from Atlanta wrote: "In 1996, on my first trip to Paris (and Europe in general), I became very ill and could not stop throwing up. I even had to look up the French word for that (FYI it is "vomir" or "vomissement") since I had not learned how to say that in college. I went to the hospital and had the nicest doctor and felt less scared knowing that I was in good hands, all alone in a foreign country in my mid-20s. Thank you American Hospital!"
JB from New Mexico wrote: “During a vacation on the Ile de Re, I needed emergency care and visited, first, a local hospital recommended by a friend, but found it grim and depressing. And so we directed the driver to take us to the American Hospital of Paris, where my wife’s mother had once been treated well. After a brief ten minutes in the AHP waiting room, we were in the presence of a wonderful American doctor who conducted an examination and oversaw an ultra-sound session, neither of which showed anything negative. The doctor assured me I was all right, gave me some medication, and asked me to say ‘hello’ to a physician we both knew. The woman at the front desk was clearly delighted that things had worked out well and when we were ready she phoned for a taxi. Many thanks to the American Hospital of Paris.”

SD from San Francisco wrote: “My 85 year-old mother was admitted to the AHP with a life-threatening lung infection. The Emergency Room staff was fabulous with her. She was in ICU for a week, getting wonderful care (the nurses are fabulous), and then was under the care of Dr, Elie Touaty of the Pulmonary Department. He was an extraordinarily careful, kind, and attentive practitioner, and I want to commend him for saving my mother’s life and for ensuring that we got her home safely and with detailed instructions on what was needed for her full recovery. I am pleased to report that she is recovered and has resumed her regular life, thanks to the wonderful care in Paris."
Helen from Rhode Island wrote: “My husband and I were vacationing in Paris last October when I began experiencing severe pain in my lower back. Since I had been treated for an infection earlier in the United States, I decided to go to the American Hospital in Paris for treatment. Everyone there was extremely courteous and helpful and tolerated my French. After two examinations and some tests, I was given antibiotics and advised to return to the United States for further treatment. American Airlines was able to change our reservation, and we were able to return home in two days. The care I received at your hospital was outstanding. Vous etes vraiment un tresoir dans la ville de Paris.”
Nancy from California wrote, "While at the CDG airport recently, I was stricken by atrial fibrillation. After being treated very quickly by the wonderful airport ER clinic, I was advised to seek out a cardiologist ASAP. The AHP was recommended so I took a taxi there and was admitted for two days and received excellent care under the direction of Dr. Usdin, who was good enough to write a very helpful & detailed medical report, which I could show to my doctors in California. Also Dr. Usdin wrote a thoughtful letter so I could satisfy my insurance to get any refunds for cancelled travel. As it turned out I did cancel my plans and returned to California, with the confidence that I received the best care and medications to carry me until I could see the local physicians/cardiologist. About 7 months later, I wrote to Dr. Usdin to give him an update on what happened and was so surprised and delighted to hear back from him - the next day - with words of wisdom and humor. I also had the best Croque Monsieur in your Garden Cafe on the day I checked out. So, now I have fond memories of Paris even if it was in the hospital. Thank you for all your services. Merci beaucoup."
